PP Scrap Recycling

PP Plastics recycling is the process of recovering PP scrap and reprocessing the material into useful products, often into a completely different form from their original state. Here at Lovewaste we are experts in all types of plastics recycling, including plastic film recycling and PP scrap recycling.

Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic polymer that is made in the chemical industry and is used in a wide variety of applications. Such applications include packaging, textiles, stationary, and automotive components.

PP scrap is commonly recycled, and has the number "5" as it's plastic identification code. PP scrap is typical strong, tough and has a resistance to heat, chemicals, grease and oil. In addition, PP is versatile and acts as a barrier to moisture.

In the current day and age plastics are used for a variety of applications due to their beneficial properties, mainly because of their extreme versatility and ability to be tailored to meet very specific technical requirements.

Plastic Film Recycling

Over the past 15 years, the plastic film and bag industry has grown at a significant rate, with billions of pounds of retail bags, stretch wrap and other film products being produced. Unlike other plastics recycling, plastic film recycling is yet to be embraced.

From packaging manufacturers to retail stores and grocers, business owners are starting to realise the benefits of plastic film recycling, however, very few are yet to realise the benefits of creating a renewable resource.

The development of new plastics recycling technologies means that post-consumer plastic film is becoming increasingly more recyclable. Plastic film recycling and other plastics recycling means that companies like ourself can produce long-lasting, durable products and most importantly we can reduce disposal costs.
